Tinsley "cjenn" (La Jolla, CA) - See all my reviews    Unless you have super oily skin and cannot tolerate any super moisturizing potions, you shouldn't use this. I have oily/normal skin and find that even this dry lotion is moisturizing enough for me. It is definitely not for dry skins and or sensitive types. Kinerase products are touted for their ultra sensitive ingredients, but beware, this lotion contains retinyl palmitate which can in fact irritate your skin. Though this does seem to deliver some skin smoothing, it is not in my opinion, as good as the cream version which is much better at balancing skin, and does NOT contain the retinyl palmitate. Both are good, but Kinerase Cream is better. I've used this product for more than seven years now I think? I'm a guy who has always been prone to breakouts despite using gentle face wash 4 times a day and non clogging moisturizers. I originally tried this as an alternative to Retin-A and I was shocked at how effective it has been in controlling breakouts. The active chemical seems to make your pores open up and basically poop everything out -- so I broke out pretty bad the 1st week of use. After that I've had incredibly clear skin for the last 7 years by just using a small amount before bed (and I even dilute it with water). Sure I can still get pimples when I go too long without washing or am being especially sweaty and busy with hiking or working out -- but this stuff is utterly amazing. It's well worth the price tag and one tube can last you two years if you use it as conservatively as I do.
