 I like iiiit!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Maxi-Peel Exfoliant No. 2 (60ml) (Misc.) used it day 1 in the evening, didn't notice anything- the liquid is sort of toner-like.. it's brown and has a distinct smell- maybe somthing like whitchhazel? otherwise i can't put my finger on the smel- it's not Baaad, but it's not beautiful either.day two used it in the evening, next day in the morning washing my face, i felt like i was washing a mirror- my skin was soo smooth! squeeky smooth! ive never been able to touch my face and not feel some bumps.. now i'm into my 3rd of 4th week, it's staple. my skin def. flakes.. but the pimple are prohibited. if I have a pimple it's so small, and easy to handle now that i'm using this maxi peel 3. I dont feel as self conscience anymore, I have gone to work and out and about without make up now. my scars - by scars i do not mean discolorations that some people call scars, i mean poc marks- they are still there. they look a bit better i suppose because the skin is Tighhhter, and so the scar-valleys are less... The outside of the bottle had basic instructions for use and indicated that the user refer to the inside of the box for further instructions and info, which was in different languages that didnt include english. Did my research and then a "patch test" to see if my skin had a reaction. Per recommendations, i applied the product morning, afternoon, and evening to my inner arm area, w/out a reaction.The following evening, I applied the maxi-peel to my face and neck, followed by the recommended maxi-peel moisturizing cream. I woke up with small blisters on my chin and forehead, that progressively worsened throughout the day; redness and swelling all over my face and neck. Very itchy and bothersome. As a nurse, I did further research and found that the reaction is likely caused by the hydroquinone, which is one of the ingredients in this maxi-peel exfoliant solution that lightens darkened areas of the skin caused by damage; scars, etc. Ive used Tretinoin...
